You can start Installing Apps 11i on Unix, Linux or Windows.
I'll recommend you try installing Linux if not then Unix & finally Windows
(For windows you need additional component to install E-Business Suite for ex.
MS Toolkit, VC++). For 11i Installation Guide visit Oracle Installation PDF at

This E-Business Suite Installation Guide consist of 166 pages & you don't need
to read all pages. First Read Chapter 1-8 Single User Installation or Two User Installation.
E-Business Applications Two Tier Database & Application , so first User Oxxxxx
is used to install Database Tier & Second User Axxxxxx for Application Tier. Installing
Apps by two User is called as Two User Installation , helpful in finer control over database
and Application file system. You can install everything from Single User as well but that is
not prefered.
You can Install Oracle Applications by Inserting CD's one after other or by
dumping all disks to one location. The process of Installing Apps from dump of
all disc in standard directory structure is called as Staging. Refer Oracle
Installation Doc mentioned above on How to create Staging. Advantage of Installing Apps
from Staging is that Universal Installer will not prompt to insert CD, it will
automatically pick from Staging Directory .
You can Install Apps on Single Node ( Single Machine) also called as Single Node
Installation or on Multiple Machine also called as Multi Node Installation.
If you are new & Installing it first time better Install everything on Single
Machine, Database Under User Oxxxxx and Middle Tier under Axxxxxx.
Go to Chapter 2, on page 29 of Guide(mentioned above) , You will see screen by
Screen navigation path for Installation ( Believe me its very simple and just
30 pages (all screens only) so nothing much to read.
After installation forget Chapter 3,4,5 (these are for Advanced Installation
Option - Look them once you are comfortable with Simple Instalation) go
directly to chapter 6 , Page 141 (This describes how to Check/Access Oracle
E-Business Suite 11i Installation) Just 10 pages. So here complete your Oracle
11i Application. If you face any Issues during Installation post your problem
